Depending on the system, you will see a dialog box asking confirmation (i.e. allow/deny or yes/no), or you will be asked to enter a password, either your own or the system administrator's. In any event, you have to follow the system's method for allowing elevation. Note that elevation can be granted automatically, but it is not recommended that you enable the feature, as it makes drive-by attacks more likely to succeed.
Copy the music over to the computer you wish to play it on, and import it into iTunes. When you try to play the file, you will be prompted to enter the password for the account used to download the song. Once complete, the computer will be authorised. Remember, you can only authorise a maximum of 5 computers.
Yes, you can have more than one iPod per computer. However, you can only authorize your iTunes account on a maximum of 5 computers. If you want to use it on another, you must de-authorize it on one of the 5 and authorize it on the computer you want to use it on.
If you cannot access the computer you will have to de-authorize your account on your computer for ALL computers. Then re-authorize it again and go to your other computers and authorize them again. This is usually not an issue unless you are maxed out at five and want to add one.
I want to change the itunes from my home computer to my laptop. When i went to sync my ipod to my laptop, it said to either transfer all the data to my ipod to this computer or delete and start new. I clicked transfer and it said i needed to authorize the computer. I did so and it said i successfully authorized it. Then when i went to sync it said i needed to authorize it! I even tried deauthorizing my last computer and it still said i needed to authorize it. Every time i authorize it, it said i haven't done so. Please help!
The authorization of your computer to transfer an app to the iPod Touch varies from computer to computer, as this is a personal setting on your computer.

itunes will back up your apps when you sync your iPhone if the computer is authorized (store-authorize computer in itunes).

Purchases you make from the iTunes Store can be played on up to five computers that you authorize using your iTunes Store account name and password. To authorize or deauthorize a single computer, choose Authorize Computer or Deauthorize Computer from the Store menu. If all five authorizations are being used, you can deauthorize all your computers at one time by choosing View My Account from the Store menu and selecting Deauthorize All.
It has been set up to ask for a password or is performing a task that requires a human to authorize.
