There is no automatic method for pasting data from Excel to Word.

  1. Open both Word and Excel.
  2. Go to Excel and highlight the cell range you want to paste to Word.
  3. Copy the range using the method you like.
  4. Go to Word and paste the contents at the location you want in Word.
  5. Clean up the location and formatting, as you like.

You can use a hyperlink to link from a Word document to an Excel document. Select the text you want to act as the link and press Ctrl-K. You can then find the excel workbook you want to link to. You can also copy from an Excel document and paste as a hyperlink, using Paste As Hyperlink in the Word document. This can link to a specific point in the Excel Workbook.
