The range is the difference between the highest and the lowest values. You can find the highest using the MAX function less the value found by the MIN function. So if you wanted to get the mathematical range for the cell range A2 to A30, you would do this:
=MAX(A2:A30) - MIN(A2:A30)
You calculate the range by subtracting the first and last number in the sequence
Many formulas are mathematical, so if you can't do maths on paper, then you won't be able to do it in Excel.

To calculate average revenue in Excel, first, ensure you have a range of cells that contain your revenue data, such as sales figures for different periods. Use the AVERAGE function by typing =AVERAGE(range) in a cell, replacing "range" with the actual cell references (e.g., A1:A10). This formula will compute the average of the values in that range. Press Enter, and the cell will display the average revenue.
In Excel you can calculate the mode from the set of values by using the MODE function. If you wanted the mode from the range of cells from A2 to D50, then it would be:=MODE(A2:D50)
Here's how you do it in Excel: use the function =STDEV(<range with data>). That function calculates standard deviation for a sample.

To calculate portfolio standard deviation in Excel, you can use the formula SQRT(SUMPRODUCT(COVARIANCEMATRIX, TRANSPOSE(WEIGHTS), WEIGHTS)), where COVARIANCEMATRIX is the range of covariance values, and WEIGHTS is the range of weights assigned to each asset in the portfolio. This formula takes into account the covariance between assets and their respective weights to determine the overall risk of the portfolio.
