You cant cc on a mail merge , use a vb script macro instead.
cc=carbon copy i.e. send a copy of the e-mail to someone else (as well as the original recipient) so that they are kept informed.
You can do that by sending a CC to the person. CC stands for carbon copy of mail. A person receiving a CC is only able to receive the copy of the mail.
There is an option of CC in the compose mail. CC stands for Carbon Copy in mail terminology. It means the CC person would also receive the email.

It means carbon copy. If you want to sent an exact copy of your e-mail to a second person put his or her e-mail address in the cc box.
That really depends on which email application you use.
Carbon Copy. If you put an e-mail address in that line that person will get a copy of the e-mail. BCC is Blind Carbon Copy, if you put someone's e-mail in that line, they will receive a copy of the e-mail but their address will be hidden by other recipients of the e-mail.

To Bcc yourself in Outlook 2007, create a new email by clicking on "New" or "New Mail Message." In the message window, go to the "View" menu and select "Bcc Field" to display the Bcc field.
