--First, click on your little Apple Icon at the top left of your screen
--Next, click "System Preferences...", the forth menu item down (first one below the horizontal bar)
--After that you'll be in your System Preferences window, and you'll see a whole bunch of stuff. Don't get overwhelmed. Now under "Personal" (the top most line of icons below "Show All") You will see the words "Desktop and Screensaver" Click it.
--Now you'll see quite a Few folders and pictures that you can use for your desktop wallpaper, there's different ones you can pick. Solid Colors is the bottom-most System Default wallpaper you can have.
Here's how you get ones that you have/made :3
--Click "Choose Folder..." And browse your folders until you come up to one with the image you want to use (I personally have a folder with 8 desktops pictures that I have change randomly)
--You don't have to chose a picture from that "Open" screen, just choose the folder.
--After that, choose a picture and how you want to display it on the desktop. Also you can set it to change your picture at certain times :3
