To change the sound card in an eMachine EL-1331-05, first, ensure the computer is powered off and unplugged. Open the case by removing the screws or sliding off the side panel. Locate the existing sound card, release any screws or clips holding it in place, and carefully remove it from the motherboard. Insert the new sound card into the appropriate PCI slot, secure it, and then close the case before reconnecting the power and booting up the system.
You open the cabinet of CPU and you will find a single card in a mounted slot of motherboard.Press the side buttons and the card will pop out and then place new one.

Most eMachine models use on-board video. There is probably not a separate card.
This worked for the sound card (which was the only one I was struggling with). Enjoy. http://download.cnet.com/Realtek-AC-97-Driver-Windows-98-Me-2000-XP-2003/3000-2120_4-10238712.html?tag=api
The graphics are integrated into the mother board. You can still install one which I highly recommend because you will get way better performance.
You need to identify which device the sound card is conflicting with and then find out if you can change the IRQ on one of the devices. If you cannot change the IRQ for one of them, such as via a dip switch or jumper, then you will have to remove one of the devices.
Your computer's sound card controls the sound coming out of your speakers. When your sound card is damaged, your sound will be distorted.
It depends on the motherboard, and built-in devices. You might have to change the sound card, or the display adapter
The purpose of a sound card on a computer is for sound to be output through speakers or headphones. The sound card works by converting digital data to sound.
You cannot play any sound without a sound card.
The sound card functions by converting digital data into analog information. It also converts analog data into digital data. The digital signal processor inside of the sound card is responsible for this.
