You can change color of the guides from Edit > Preferences at Guides, Grid & Slices tab. If you have Rulers visible you can do that on the fly, double click on rulers to open preferences or navigate mouse button with Move Tool selected above guide to turn into two sided lines the double click to open Preferences dialog.
