A workgroup has more security. A homegroup provides less security than a workgroup because any user of any computer in the homegroup can access homegroup resources.
To find your domain name or homegroup name on a Windows computer, you can open the Control Panel and navigate to "System and Security," then select "System." The domain name will be listed under "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings." For homegroup, you can check the "HomeGroup" section in the Control Panel, where it will show if you're part of a homegroup and its name.
To turn on or off Peer-to-Peer in a HomeGroup on Windows 7, open the Control Panel, then select "HomeGroup." Once in the HomeGroup settings, you can manage sharing options and adjust your preferences for file and printer sharing. To disable Peer-to-Peer, you can choose to leave the HomeGroup or change the sharing settings to restrict access. Remember to save any changes before exiting the settings.

I think this is called a HomeGroup
Workgroup sharing is a decentralized network model where each computer is standalone, allowing users to share resources like files and printers without a central server, typically used in small office environments. In contrast, Homegroup sharing, which was available in earlier versions of Windows, facilitated easier sharing of files and printers among home networks by allowing users to create a centralized group with predefined permissions. While Homegroup was user-friendly and streamlined for home use, workgroups offer more flexibility and independence, making them better suited for diverse organizational settings. However, Homegroup has been discontinued in recent Windows versions, leading users to rely more on alternatives like workgroups or cloud-based solutions for sharing.
I belive so
you can share music photos and documents, but not printers.. your welcome
In a homegroup, the five resources that can be shared by default are libraries, printers, pictures, music, and videos. These resources allow users to easily share and access media and devices among connected computers on the same network. Users can customize sharing settings for each resource to control access and permissions. Homegroup functionality is primarily associated with Windows operating systems.
