How do you delete apps or books off a Kindle Fire?

If you want to delete something on your Kindle Fire, then press and hold onto the app/book. Then it will show 3 different things, "Remove from Carousel, Add to Favorites, or Remove from device. Press on "Remove from Device." It will make sure that you want to, so you say, OK, or cancel. It is as easy as that.

First you need to press the app or bOok for about 5 sec then a menu should pop up asking you if you would like to delete it. Choose the delete button and it should work

But it doesn't. Now what?

Go to manage my account. My apps. You'll get list of all apps on Kindle. To the right of each one, there will be a button that says "actions." Press that and choose delete from device. There will be a pop up screen that makes you confirm the deletion. Do that for every app you no longer want on your cloud. Then go to your home page and hold down on/off button for 20 seconds, ignoring the close message. Your screen will go black. After 20 seconds, restart and the items will be off your cloud for good. I just did this with tech support and it worked.

connect the kindle to a pc, open to view files and just delete the book you want to delete.
