If you are using a Windows operating system:

1. find the file (using Windows Explorer)
2. Click once on the file name to highlight it (you can select several files with Ctrl or Shift if you want to)
   
3. Press the Shift key and the Delete key (keep the shift key pressed as you press delete then release both)
4. Confirm permanent deletion in the dialog box

Left-click once on the icon of the file to be deleted, then press the 'delete' key on your keyboard. A prompt box should appear saying 'Are you sure you want to delete...?' (or something very similar). Left-click 'yes' and the file will be deleted and sent to the recycle bin.
