Are you trying to disable onboard video so you can install a pci video card? If so you have to disable onboard video in your computers bios. Then install your video card in an empty pci slot. Then install the drivers for your pci card in windows.
Graphics cards
It will work. I recently installed an XFX 8600 GT XXX edition on my MSI-RS480M2 motherboard. You first have to disable the onboard graphics controller from BIOS. To do this, go to the BIOS and in the Advanced Chipset Features->Internal Video->UMA->Disable. Then, install the card. If your operating system boots normally, that means the card is working fine.
The ATI 5470
the most high end graphics card from ati is the hd4870 x2 which is basically just 2 hd4870s in one card
I'd go with ATI
It has onboard graphics ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.
The ATI Rage won't work in your Toshiba laptop, unfortunately. The graphics card in your laptop is soldered on.
You cannot use an ATI Radeon HD 3850 because it is a desktop graphics card. They do, however, have a mobile version of the same card (made for laptops) called the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850, which you can use.
There are hundreds of ATI and ATI-based graphics cards, so it is impossible to give you any sort of description or specifications without a model number.
yep, but it depends on the type of graphics card, and it needs a connection. eg: ati crossfire
The Graphics Card... The Box... An ATI CrossfireX Bridge connecter... maybe some instructions or waranty?
yes!!
