How do you fix your computer if there is no display when you turn it on?

There might be 3 reasons for this:

1. The fuse in the power plug has gone.

2. There might be a damaged part of the wire.

3. The PSU might have either died or not connected properly.

Beep codes are still used to indicate basic PC problems.

During the POST, (Power On Self Test) the computer runs basic diagnostics on most system devices. If there are any problems the computer will sound "beep codes" that give you a clue as to which device has (or devices have) failed.

Search for "beep codes" on the internet and add the manufacturer of your BIOS.

If your computer has cards in the expansion slots, remove as many of the computer cards as you can, and see if the computer will boot. If it boots, add cards individually and see which one makes it NOT boot.

If you can't make it boot by removing cards, use the beep codes that you found to see what's wrong.

First, try turning everything off (the computer, too) and unplugging everything. Put it all back together, turn on the monitor and CPU switches and see what happens.
