To improve RAM performance on your computer, you could Delete programs on Startup, or what ever programs you don't really use that open up automatically when you start your computer. You should also check for spyware on your computer.

There are multiple ways to get better RAM (Random Access Memory). Most systems (computers) have sufficient RAM to power through most of todays applications. If you did wan't to upgrade your RAM though, a good place to start is to go to your computer manufacturers' website and search RAM. Another good way to get "better RAM" is to go to crucial.com/systemscanner. Download the file and run it. It will automatically scan your system and tell you which RAM is compatible with your computer and give you a list of memory upgrades compatible with your computer. To install your RAM in most cases, you will need a screwdriver. Depending on if you have a laptop or a desktop, you will follow different steps.

Laptop:

1. Turn off your laptop and unplug all devices from it (including power cable)
2. Turn over your laptop and look for a letter "M".
3. Unscrew the screw and take off the cover.
4. Remove the RAM by pushing out the tabs on the side and pulling out the memory unit1.
5. Put in the RAM that you bought into the slot1 and screw back on the cover.
6. Flip over your laptop and power it on. The computer should automatically recognize the new RAM.
7. VOILA!! You have upgraded your RAM!

Desktop:

1. Power down your computer. Un-attach all cords form the computer.
2. Consult with your computer manual on how to open the computer case. Locate the memory on the motherboard.
3. Unlock the tabs that hold the RAM in place and remove the RAM!.
4. Then insert the new RAM1 and lock it into place
5. Put the case back together and power the computer on. The system should automatically recognize the memory upgrade.
6. VOILA!! You have upgraded your RAM!

1 Don't touch the golden elements on the bottom of the RAM. The oil from your hands can damage the RAM and cause it to function improperly.
