Right click on the task bar. Select 'toolbars'. Then select Windows Media Player.
Tough one this! - There is probably a logical answer however i don't have it yet - my current suggestion is to un-install Media player 10 then download a new copy and re-install it.
If you click on hidden icons arrow at bottom right on taskbar you find small green plug picture - hold mouse over it should say 'safely remove hardware' click on it and remove your MP3 player

on the taskbar right click on it and select lock the taskbar and when you do it again it should be checkmarked
Just drag it into the taskbar on the side of the screen :)

If you use the unlock option you will still have a narrow blue line at the bottom. But the taskbar basically would be hidden. If you use the autohide option the taskbar will hide completely automatically. But when you move the cursor at the place where the taskbar suppose to be the taskbar will pop up.
