Simple: Buy the Software!
Pirated Software is illegal and you have no way of knowing whether it has viruses or not!
No, since pirated software is illegal. Lots of pirated software is broken, meaning one or more functions of the software is unavailable or won't work such as automatic updates or registration. The process of patching it to remove the registration check may have damaged other things in the software. It is also possible that some pirated software contains malicious code, spyware, or viruses. Also, because you can't register, you can't receive technical support from the manufacturer. If it causes damage to your system, your hardware warranty will not cover it.
When someone pirates software they are stealing something that otherwise would have to be purchased. Many torrent sites have illegal downloads for free that may have viruses in them.
it is never appropriate to install pirated software
because computer hackers can implant hidden software, and viruses, such as the Trojan virus that apears to be a helpfull program and realy it ruins your computer.
The product key for software is usually found on a sticker on the package. When you buy software via download, your product key is sent to you digitally. Product keys are used to verify that you are the owner of a verified copy of the software, and the key can be used only once, or by the verified owner when changing computers. Pirated software may have a product key, but usually it is invalid and once read, can indicate that your copy is pirated. Most pirated software lacks a product key.
Obviously, a company that distributes their own software with viruses in it is not going to be in business very long. As to why pirated software so often contains viruses, it is important to understand the "community" that supplies pirated software. Cracking software is seen by many young programmers as a way of displaying their "leet" skills. It is often seen as a rite of passage to crack a complex encryption algorithm. When crackers feel their accomplishments are unappreciated by others, they often lash out at "leechers", or non-crackers who download pirated software but do not contribute to providing / cracking it. The cracker extracts his revenge, the leecher "learns his lesson" for not "respecting" the cracker community more and falling into their trap due to not having "leet" skills, and life carries on.
Pirated software
No. The pirated software is still illegal. You have the legal copy; use it or replace it in the proper way.
pirated
Software that is pirated will not be sold from an autorized retail store. It might come in packaging that is not the original, or with a product keycode that is not on official packaging. Software piracy is highly illegal. Very often, you would already know it is pirated, since you were the one who searched for it in file-sharing software and downloaded a serial number or registration crack. Except in the case of counterfeit goods as described in the previous paragraph, most users of pirated software know it is pirated.
The main risk is losing money that you didn't need to spend. Why buy pirated software when you can either buy the software for real and not suffer risk or a hit to your concience. The second risk is that it's still illegal to own pirated software. So you'd have lost money and still gained a criminal record if you're caught. A 3rd risk is that you're spending money on something that unless you've sampled, you potentially are getting a product you didn't want, or is of low quality. Just don't do it. Go the the piratebay.org or the shops. Both much better alternatives.
Software which is not pirated. A legal tender purchased from the store. Software which is not specifically designed for a customers requirements.
