Provided the file is less than 147 kb you will need to re-name each copy as you transfer to floppy from 1 to 10

Floppy Disk - 144 MB CD-R - 700 MB DVD-R - 4.7 GB Hard Disk - Up to 10 TB
Floppy disks are seldom sold individually. Depending on the bulk number you purchase, the price per floppy is generally $0.75 to $1.00 USD.
The tracks on a floppy disk are arranged in concentric circles from the center outwards. The read-write heads can therefore jump from track 1 to say 10 without moving through the tracks in between.
To create 10 duplicates of a floppy disk, you can use either disk copying software or a disk imaging tool. The software method involves using a program that reads the original disk and writes the data to new disks one at a time, while the imaging method creates a single file that contains a complete image of the original disk, which can then be written to multiple disks simultaneously. The imaging method is generally better because it ensures a perfect replica of the original disk, including all formatting and hidden files, and allows for faster duplication if multiple drives are used.

A hard-sectored floppy disk (5.25") has timing holes (typically ten) drilled through the disk at evenly-spaced intervals around the disk at the same radius as the index hole (which is one hole drilled between two of the timing holes). The timing holes indicate to the disk reader / writer / controller where the sectored are located on the floppy disk. A soft-sectored floppy disk has a single index hole and no timing doles drilled in it. The spacing of the sectors is determined by set time intervals from the passage of the index hole as it rotates. For example if there are ten sectors each would be spaced at 1/10 of the time it takes the disk to rotate. The controller for a soft-sectored disk drive must be able to control speed and measure time more carefully than a hard-sectored disk drive. A soft-sectored disk can't be read or written by a hard-sectored disk drive (and vice versa) unless the disk controller has been written to deal with the different number of holes.
There are a number of differences between CD and floppy discs. Floppy discs are magnetic and use magnetism to store data, CD drives are optical and read pits in a reflective surface using a laser. CD's have a much higher data density than floppy discs. CD's are a much higher capacity and can be read at much higher speeds than floppy discs.
1. You can use WE to copy files on the floppy disk to a folder on the hard drive, then copy contents of the folder to the 10 disks. 2. Use a command prompt window, use the copy command to copy files on the floppy disk to a folder on the hard drive, then use the copy command to copy the contents of the folder to the 10 disks.
The best way to clean a floppy disk is with an electromagnet not a regular magnet. If you can put it to the back of a large speaker when the speaker is turned on, that should work. On the other hand, if you wait about 10 years, that will also do it.
Floppy disks are typically fragile and error-prone, so they are not suitable for long-term archiving. While the individual cost of a floppy disk is usually low, the per-megabyte cost of a floppy is extraordinary. Here are the per-megabyte costs of various devices, based on their price on Newegg: 1 TB hard drive (Seagate Barracuda) - .01 cents DVD-R (based on 50-disc spindle) - .04 cents CD-R (based on 50-disc spindle) - .22 cents Compare that to the price of floppies (based on box of 10 from Wal-Mart): Floppy disk - 33.8 cents.
It depends on how it's damaged. Track0 may only be one of many errors on the disk. It is possible to repair it with specialised software, but the results are not garuanteed. You can force Scandisk to repair certain disk errors, but again it's not certain to work. You could also try Norton Disk Doctor or similar software. It is better to avoid floppy disks altogether, recent studies have shown that floppy disk are becoming less reliable. Better to get a USB flash drive, you can get a 256MB one for between £10 and £20. Or use CDR's they're so cheap now it's hardly worth bothering with floppies.
