How do you make a picture a background of a power-point slide?

Right click on the slide, edit background, then rather than selecting a colour you can select a picture, you will have to browse for it in your hard drive. You can apply to all slides or just the one you are working on.

Alternatively:

When PowerPoint is open, you need to Copy/Insert an image that you would like to become the background into the slide. Enlarge the image to cover the length of the slide and/or how much of it you want to be the background, and right click. Go to "Arrange" and "Send to Back." This will only work on one slide at a time though, you will have to repeat for those slides that you want to have the same background.

FIXATION

A fixative may be described as a substance which will preserve after death the shape, structure, relationship and chemical constituents of tissues and cells.

• Specimens may be routinely fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin (NBF). Fixation should be commenced as soon after surgical excision as is practically possible to prevent autolysis and bacterial decomposition.
• Formalin fixation should ideally be allowed to proceed for at least 12 hours before processing. It is largely reversible by water washing until the specimens have been in formalin for more than 24-28 hours. Specimens may be stored in NBF.
• It is important to use NBF routinely as it stops the formation of formalin pigment in the tissue (caused by acidity in the fixative solution). This would otherwise present as artefact in the final stained sections.

• Very small specimens may alternatively be fixed in Bouin's fluid. Picric acid in the Bouin's fluid colours the tissue yellow temporarily, this facilitates subsequent handling before and after processing, and is easily removed from cut sections by alcohol in the initial steps of the staining procedure. It should be noted that tissues fixed in Bouin's tend to stain more brightly than those fixed in NBF.

If you are working on office 2010 or in any version you should look minutely there is an option of INSERT. go on that and in their sub-option you will get the solution. Even if you click right while working on slide you can get the option to insert the photo.

You can't necessarily post it as your background you all you do is insert the picture on and stretch it to fit the background. If things are dragged on and are lost behind the picture background go to "Arrange" and then click bring to back.

You copy and paste it, right click on it, then press 'text wrap' and press 'send to back'. Now you can ajust it and type over it. :-)
