No, you need a print server or you need to share the printer via a desktop computer in order to get connectivity over an Ethernet network with more than one client.

Hook the USB printer to one of computers and turn printer sharing ON in the System Preferences/Sharing/Services menu on the computer the printer is hooked to. Then you should be able to see it in the Print Menu under Shared Printers on the other computers. The down side is you have to keep the USB Printer/Computer on all the time in order to print to it. The other computers won't see the printer if the USB Printer/Computer is asleep. Keyspan.com, etc... has both the print servers you could use but make sure you read which one you need. They both do it different ways for different printers and usage.

I have one printer and four computers what gadget can I use to print from four computers to my printer without transferring the connection?

It depends on if you have a net-workable printer or not. If you have a wireless or ethernet equipt printer then you could use an wireless router that usually has 4 ethernet ports. I have my computers (six of them) hooked to an ethernet switch (and a couple connected wireless) which is hooked to a wireless router. My printer is wireless (or ethernet capable) and can be used by all my computers without doing a thing. As long as the computers AND the printer stay on the same network then they can all print. Most of my computers are Macs and I can use the "Location" feature to switch back and forth from my "internet DSL" location back to my "offline local" network. If you only have a USB printer then you could use the printer sharing feature on your computer and then it would work but you would always have to have that one computer on ALL the time. There are also USB servers that use an ethernet cable to connect to the network, you just plug the USB cable from the printer into the server and then it is plugged into the computer, ethernet switch, router, etc.

Where does the printer cord go on an Epson printer?

The printer cord (either the power cord or USB/ethernet cable) on an Epson printer connects at the following locations: Power Cord Location: The power cord port is located on the back of the printer, typically on one side (left or right). How to Connect: Plug one end of the power cord into the power port on the back of the printer. Plug the other end into a wall outlet or power strip. USB Cable (Wired Connection to a Computer) Location: The USB port is also on the back of the printer, near the power cord port. How to Connect: Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the printer. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. Ethernet Cable (If Connecting to a Network) Location: For printers with network capability, the Ethernet port is located on the back of the printer, usually next to the USB port. How to Connect: Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the printer. Plug the other end into your router or network switch. If you need help finding the exact ports or setting up, let me know!

No, this is not a wireless printer. If you want, you can wire it into your Ethernet network and then it might work as a wireless printer if the Ethernet connects to a WiFi router.

Can you use a Belkin router as a print server for an ethernet non-wireless printer?

If your printer is network capable, it has own print server. Just connect the printer to the router. Then connect the printer as a network printer.

What is the most common printer interface?

The two most commonly used interfaces for printer connectivity are: USB (Universal Serial Bus): USB is a widely used interface for connecting printers to computers. It's a versatile and straightforward option that allows for easy plug-and-play connectivity. USB printers are typically connected directly to a computer using a USB cable. There are different USB generations (e.g., USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1) with varying data transfer speeds, but most printers are compatible with multiple USB versions. USB connections are common for both inkjet and laser printers, as well as all-in-one multifunction printers. Ethernet (Wired Network): Ethernet is commonly used for networked printers, especially in office and business environments. It enables multiple users to share a single printer over a wired network. Networked printers are connected to a local area network (LAN) using an Ethernet cable. This allows multiple computers and devices on the network to send print jobs to the printer. Ethernet connections are prevalent in laser printers and high-capacity office printers that require robust network connectivity for multiple users. While USB and Ethernet are the most common interfaces for printer connectivity, other interfaces exist, including Wi-Fi (wireless), Bluetooth, and older options like parallel ports (less common today). The choice of interface depends on the type of printer, the intended use, and the specific requirements of the user or organization. For home users and small offices, USB and Wi-Fi are often the preferred choices, while larger office environments may rely more on Ethernet for networked printing.
