You can't work from inside the directories in your pen drive, but you can interact with the contents of the drive, for example "notepad G:\Text\textdoc.txt" will open textdoc.txt with notepad, you can view the contents of the drive with "dir G:" edit: Actually typing "explorer G:" should open the drive like clicking "View Files" would. Replace G:\ with whatever Windows named your device.
If an individual wants to save a Powerpoint presentation to a pen-drive, the method is simple. Copying the Powerpoint presentation to a pen-drive is similar to copying it to a flash drive. First, the pen-drive needs to be plugged in. Then, the individual clicks on the PowerPoint file and selects "copy". Then, the person may paste it into the files of the pen-drive.
You need to determine the letter of the drive in which the flash drive is inserted. To do this, you can enter Windows Start menu (Windows logo in the bottom left) and click on Computer. Find the drive where you have the flash drive, and remember it.Now to get a command prompt, you need to click the Start Menu again. In the Search space, type "Command Prompt." This should open a black window with the following:Microsoft Windows [version (information specific to your computer)]Copyright ---- (the year) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.C:\User\HomeThere will be a flashing underscore (cursor). Type the following: Format G:This should do what you hope.

By a pen drive I'm guessing you mean a USB flash drive like thing. When you plug the pen drive in, your computer should automatically detect it and open up a window that has its contents. Leave that open and find the file that you need to move onto it and just drag and drop it into the Pen Drives window. Its as simple as that. Then close the window and disconnect the drive Answerd by- Vinay Gupta DCAST (D.dun)
