Start/ All Programs/ Accessories/ Remote Desktop Connection Window
This could be an issue with the Microsoft Firewall that is present. You may have this program on and not need it, causing issues in the connection.
Remote Desktop Services allows you to access remotely your company's server and open an application or run a desktop session. In Windows Server 2008 and earlier this was referred to as Terminal Services.

1 Open the Windows Remote Assistance window that is waiting for an incoming connection. 2 Click the "X" on the upper right corner of the window. 3 Click "Yes" when asked if you want to close the session

Normally you open the file the mouse is hovering over.

By default wireless routers block all incoming connections. You need to to open the remote desktop port on the router. And also you might have to setup redirecting of incoming remote desktop connections on a particular pc.
3389 is the remote desktop protocol port.
Go to Windows Desktop and open context menu (right click on desktop), select "Gadgets" from the list. New window will be opened with available gadgets on the system. Just take "Calendar" or "Clock" gadget and drag it anywhere on the desktop. After you done, close this gadgets selection window.
If you have a remote...press the car icon. The window should swing up and then you take the door by the handle and open it.
