To print on legal-size paper (8.5" x 14") with a Canon Laser Shot LBP-1210, you'll need to adjust both the paper settings in the printer driver and the physical paper tray. Here's how you can do it on a Windows 7 machine: Step 1: Load Legal Paper into the Printer Load Legal Paper: Ensure you have legal-size paper (8.5" x 14") loaded into the paper tray. Open the paper tray. Adjust the paper guides to fit the legal-sized paper. Load the paper with the long edge aligned with the tray. Step 2: Set the Paper Size in Printer Properties Before printing, you need to specify that the printer should use legal-size paper in the printer settings. Follow these steps: Open the Document to Print: Open the document you want to print in any program (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF Reader, etc.). Open the Print Dialog: Go to File > Print (or press Ctrl + P) in the application you're using. Select Printer: Choose the Canon LBP-1210 as the printer. Open Printer Properties/Preferences: Click on the Printer Properties or Preferences button (this may also appear as Properties depending on the software). Change Paper Size: In the Printer Properties window, look for a Paper Size option. This is usually under the Page Setup or Basic tab. Set the Paper Size to Legal (8.5" x 14"). If you don’t see an option for Legal paper, make sure the driver is up to date. Sometimes you may need to manually select a custom paper size that matches the legal paper dimensions. Adjust Orientation: Set the Orientation to either Portrait or Landscape, depending on how you want the content to appear on the page. Legal paper is generally used in Portrait, but choose as needed. Confirm Settings: After selecting Legal paper size, confirm the settings by clicking OK or Apply to return to the print dialog. Step 3: Print the Document Once you've set the paper size and other print settings, click on Print to send the job to the printer. Additional Tips: Printer Driver: If the "Legal" paper size is not available in the printer settings, ensure that you have the correct and latest printer driver installed for the Canon LBP-1210. You can download the latest drivers from the Canon support website. Tray Capacity: The Canon LBP-1210 has a limited paper tray size, so check that the printer can accommodate the legal-size paper in the tray. If you’re using the printer's manual feed slot, ensure the paper is loaded correctly. By following these steps, your Canon Laser Shot LBP-1210 should be able to print on legal-size paper.
