I assume u r using xp, try this when u start the window, before the screen window pop up keep press the F2 key, then u will see the screen set up, look for the security and use arrow cursor to go into the and select the set user password, try to renew yr password, remember at this level the mouse is not working u can only use arrow key and enter

yes you can put a password on the the hard drive forcing the user to enter a password during POST before the OS boots or on the operating system depending on the OS you would find this in user options or somthing to that effect.

but if its running XP, you can Ctrl + Alt + Del and go thru an installed backdoor from there.

you go to the start menu click on control pannel and click on user settings and click on change or get password then type in your password and answer some password questions they ask you

go 2 control panel and >user account>click change password> that ll ask ur old password and than u can create a new password
