here are two methods:
Method A:
1.Download video
2.Then convert the video to .wmv format
3.Insert the .wmv video into PowerPoint
Step 1: On the Insert tab, point to Movies and Sounds, and then click Movie from File.
Step 2: Click the video you want to use and then click OK.
Step 3: After you click OK, you' are promoted with a message asking how you want the movie to start in the slide show.

A CD/DVD disc: It will depend what is on the disc. If there are files (Text, Video, Audio etc.) that the Mac can read then you can open them on the Mac.
