The symbol resembles a sheet of paper with writing/printing on one side. If you see the printing, that's "face up." If you see a blank piece of paper with the corner turned back, and a little bit of printing on the turned-back corner, that's "face down."

Assuming you're talking about using a photocopier - or a scanner... the information you want copied - is usually placed face down. The scanning/copying components are normally in the base of the equipment.

its all down to what fake tan your using, read the bottle or whatever it is and if it says anywhere on the bottle that it can be used for your face than go for it, but if it dosn't say it can be used for the face..... so i wouldn't if that was the case.
