How do you reboot acer aspire 5100?

Assuming that you can't do it from windows by going to start-->shut down-->restart-->ok, you should be able to reboot it by holding down the power button for about 10-20 seconds.. That should cause it to turn off. Then just turn it back on.

1. turn on your laptop and straight away keep pressing F8

2. a whole list will come up, click on the one that says repair computer ( something like that) basically the first one which may be highlighted

3. then it will take you to a screen, select your language and state ECT

4. the next screen will have another list, click the last one which says something about recovery

5. Just follow the instructions and then your done :D

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

You should just have to hold the power button down for 10-30 seconds. If that fails, remove the battery. Be warned, both of these can cause damage.
