You go into your "sent mail" folder. Then you click on the message you want to recall. Once it is open you go under "Actions" and then you click on "Recall This Message". It will only work if the message has not yet been read by its recipient(s).
Unfortunately you cannot recall an email sent from a mac account, once you hit the send button the email is gone permanently to whomever it is sent to.

The maximum data download for an email varies depending on the way the email is sent. If it is sent by SMTP the maximum size is 25MB and if it is sent by Outlook Web Access the maximum size is 10MB.

Mail recall is not possible unless you have admin access to the server where the mail was addressed, and then only if the person hasn't read it already. In short, no.
sometimes smileys, especially when sent thru outlook, become a capital J in the email.

That's a big question; Outlook is one of Microsoft's largest products. Essentially Outlook stores email messages, appointments and contact details in a database. Usually, email is gathered and sent using IMAP or POP3 and SMTP but other protocols are supported.
It might be your computer, it might be theirs. Outlook or AOL could be the problem. I use Yahoo! It is very nice and easy.
