Exactly how to backup to a disc will depend on what it is you want to backup. The first step in backing up anything, is to make sure your disk is formatted. Then click your start button on your pc. You should find a backup label under system tools which should be located under accessories. Just follow the directions on the computer from there.
You can recreate your first date by your memory. Your brain takes pictures of everything. Then you can just set up your scenery the way it was back then too.

Windows is installed in a separate section of the hard disc and will not affect your existing data. As with any major changes to a hard disc it is advisable to have a back up copy of your hard disc on an external disc before starting the installation.
