Pages does not support exporting as a TIFF. If a TIFF file is essential then you can export as a PDF from Pages, open the PDF in Preview and Save As... a TIFF from Preview.
Converting any file into a PDF is easier than you may think. Start by creating your file in a Word document or in a Pages document on a Mac. After saving the original, choose the export option. This will allow you to save the file as a PDF.

There are a couple of applications which can create documents for school. I believe the only iPad optimized application is Pages by Apple which is $9.99. It is more than enough for school work and can export the document as a Pages file, PDF, or Microsoft Word.
Go to the top (where it says File, Edit, etc.) Click File, Export, and then click the Word option.
The professional version of Adobe Acrobat allows you to save as or export to a jpeg file. The free version of Acrobat Reader does not have this functionality. A work around may be to place or import the Adobe file into a word processing program and then save as or export the Word file as a jpeg. The document can also be re-scanned as a jpeg file for a third option. If the document has text I would not recommend a jpeg file for anything other than viewing on a monitor.

You can turn a business intelligence Microsoft Word Document into a PDF by exporting it from Microsoft Word. To convert a pmd file to a word file, start with the PageMaker file you wish to convert. From the File menu, choose "Export." Then, select "Rich Text Format," and a name to export the file.
