Then hold the timer assembly above where it sets and turn the housing where the wire connects; turn the housing until the wire stud is facing the center bend of the intake manifold, the bend coming out of the carb, then hold the housing in this position and turn the shaft till the high point of the shaft has opened the points set it into place. You'll have to get the oil pump shaft turned so it will fall into place as it sets. You will notice the timer shaft turn a quarter turn counter clockwise in place, it is timed. It usually takes me six tries.
