You must have iMovie 2011. 1. Go to imovie in the top toolbar of your screen.
2. Click on preferences.
3. Click Show Advanced Tools.
4. Drag the clip you want on the left into the timeline.
5. Drag the clip you want on the right at the beginning of the first clip
NOTE: Do not place it in the beginning as in it would play before. Place ON the clip.
6. A screen should pop up asking wether you want to do green screen, blue screen, cutaway, picture in picture etc. and also split screen.
7. Click on split screen
Bada bing Bada boom.
NOTE: If you have iMovie 2009 you will still have some options when you select Show Advanced Tools. Just no blue screen and split screen. That's right! You can do green screens in iMovie!
You will need to download the Split Screen Effect for iMovie. Click on the Related Link below to be directed to a site where you can download the plugin.
