This may not be the complete solution but I had this problem and adapted to it this way. 1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Click Tools -> Folder Options
3. In the General Tab,
select the following in "Click items as follows"
- Single click to open an item (1st option) and
underline icon titles only when i point at them
(2nd sub option)
4. Click Apply
5. Click OK Why this is better? Dragging your mouse will select items
Single click (acts as Double click) will open the items As a result, you can be sure of whether it is single click or double click rather than RANDOM double clicks UNEXPECTADLY (Annoying to the Core !!)
