To text on a Nook, you'll need to use the device's built-in browser or a compatible app if available. While Nooks primarily focus on reading eBooks, you can access web-based messaging services by navigating to their websites. Alternatively, you can also sync your Nook with a smartphone or tablet to send texts through those devices. However, Nooks do not support traditional SMS texting directly on the device.
No you cannot text on the nook color it only gives you books on how to text
you have to go on internet and go to the apps! then if its not there go to google on your nook and ask them!

Kindle 3 is better because it's free if you get the 3g version.. and k3 is better then nook black and white in contrast since it's newer, so reading online is better - also, nook does not have text to speech. Text to speech makes internet much more fun... Nook color has no 3g, just wifi.
That may possibly be because of the text size. You can change the text size by tapping the screen and tapping text.
I'm awaiting that feature as well. But Nook has only had one update since it came out, so it will most likely come in the next update.
No, only the Amazon Kindle has text to speech so it can read back books. Though Barnes and Noble can release a software update that gives the Nook this feature.
To make your Nook Color read to you, first ensure your device is updated to the latest software version. Then, open a book and tap the top of the screen to access the menu. Select the "Read Aloud" option, which will activate the text-to-speech feature, allowing the device to read the text to you. Adjust the playback settings as needed for your preferences.
There is no Nook 2 or Nook Lite coming up. There is a Nook Color, which I think has decreased the price of the Nook. But you can check in the Barnes and Nobles website.
