you go to settings then to general then to updates and press update
no only on the ipod touch 5th gen
Dont update to iOS 6. It runs bad on the ipod touch and when you jailbreak it, it will be only slower. I will downgrade to iOS 5.1.1 since it is the best for me right now.
if you want it to be jailbroken then no,if not yes
Only the iPod 4th generation can be update to iOS 6. You can update from 4.3.5 by plugging your iPod into your iTunes-authorized computer and accepting the prompt to download and install the new software.
You can update your 4th gen iPod Touch to iOS 6 in two ways. If you are on iOS 5, you can do it wirelessly from Settings>General>Software Update. If are running iOS 4, you have to plug your device into an iTunes-authorized computer and accept the pop-up to download and install the latest iOS software. Either way, there will be waiting involved, especially if you have a slow connection.
go to settings then go to general click software update it will check for and update (you need wifi to do that).I should come up with an update for iOS 6 see if you have enough space if so click update and it should start downloading.

If you have an iPod Touch 3rd generation, you can easily update to iOS 5.1.1 by plugging in your device to your iTunes-authorized computer and waiting for the pop up to download and update to the new software. If you are already running an earlier version of iOS 5, you can update wirelessly by going into Settings>General>Software Update. If you have a 4th generation iPod Touch, then you must update to iOS 6 because you are always forced to update to the latest iOS version available. I you have a 5th generation, you cannot downgrade to iOS 5.1 because that is not legally allowed by Apple and requires hacks.
Home Screen>Settings>General>Software Update Once you tap the Software Update tab, it will check (you must be connected to WiFi I believe) if you need an update. The latest on 2-21-13 is iOS 6.1.2
Well there is no such thing as IOS 6 yet. So far its IOS 5.1 i think and siri is only available on the apple iphone 4s. No other devices have siri and there is no app or update for it
No, the Apple ipod 1st generation hardware does not support ios 6.
iOS 6 came out of beta September 21, 2012 with the launch of the iPhone 5. You can update to the latest iOS 6.1.3 (6.1.4 with the iPhone 5) by going into Settings>General>Software Update or plugging your device into an iTunes authorized computer if you are running anything older than iOS 5. If you are not fond of the iOS 7 update, then you must update to iOS 6 before this fall because after that, Apple forces you to only update to the latest software version or not at all. But you don't have to worry about this is you have a 4th gen iPod Touch or iPhone 3GS which can't get iOS 7.
