In iMovie '09 the video effects that are on Imovie HD(For example, earthquake, pixie dust, and rain) are no longer on the program. However, some effects of Imovie '09 are greenscreen, picture in picture, and cutaway. I find that if you make a video on Imovie '09, export it with effects that are not available on Imovie HD, then put that video on Imovie HD with the effects available there, you can come up with an amazing video that with tons of special effects.

You first import your clips onto iMovie, next you add the audio, editing and titles. Lastly you are able to share the clip onto YouTube,MobileMe or iTunes, on the other hand you are able to publish your movie as a video file by pressing Share and then Export Movie. Or once again save as a iMovie file so you are able to come back to it later to finish off the movie.

its really simple its like Windows Movie Maker if you have used that before. you need to import the pictures/ videos first that you want. then you can order them and stet the timing of them and how long you want them to show in seconds. then you can add transitions in-between them =. you can also add frames text and music from your Itunes. you will get it straight away once you know how to use it you can make loads of great movies - its fun and simple.
