To use VLC with Dazzle, first, connect your Dazzle device to your computer and ensure it’s properly installed. Open VLC Media Player and go to "Media" > "Open Capture Device." In the Capture Device tab, select "DirectShow" as the capture mode, and choose your Dazzle device from the dropdown menu. Click "Play" to start streaming or recording the video from your Dazzle device.
No you need the CD to do everything Whoever left the last answer is incorrect. You can use VLC media player to view/stream/capture from a dazzle capture card. Open VLC, click on media, open capture device. Select dazzle from the drop down menu's. Then select how you want to stream/record/view .etc It is more than likely that other programs can do this too, but most of the time it isn't worth it as the picture quality is far from amazing, and there is normally a small amount of lag. Hope this helps.
