In this case if A1 is 4, then 75 will show. If you want 150 to show when A1 is 4 then the formula would be:
=IF(A1>=4,150,75)
Excel assumes data is text initially, but can treat it differently depending on the way you enter it. That is why you enter an equals sign at the beginning of a formula to indicate to Excel that you are creating a formula.

After you enter your formula, press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER at the same time. You will see the array formula displayed with brackets ({}) around it. If you type the same text, including the brackets and press just ENTER, you will not tell Excel the formula is an array and may display only text.
