As computers are developed with the purpose of automating tasks, aka doing work without a user's attention, they take away from the workload of real people. I doubt any company wants to employ more help than they need, because they lose money, so people get let go, thus increasing unemployment.

Computerization and telecommunication and the area of national development in nigeria discuss?
The importance of computerization is that it improves efficiency. Information can be shared centrally in a database. Tasks are processed at a very high rate.
Some people believe that the computerization of organizational operations leads to unemployment because automation can replace human jobs, particularly in routine and repetitive tasks. This perspective highlights the risk of job displacement as machines and software become more capable and cost-effective. However, I disagree with this belief entirely, as computerization can also create new job opportunities in areas like technology management, data analysis, and maintenance of automated systems, ultimately leading to an evolution of the workforce rather than outright unemployment. Additionally, automation can enhance productivity, potentially fostering economic growth and job creation in the long term.
There are various advantages associated with computerization. For example, unlike hard copies, computer files can be backed up at multiple locations.
Factors that contribute to the level of natural unemployment in an economy include the skills and education of the workforce, the efficiency of labor market matching, the level of technological advancement, and the overall health of the economy.

In Michigan, unemployment benefits are primarily funded through employer taxes. Employers pay into the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) based on their payroll and unemployment claims history. Employees do not directly contribute to the state unemployment fund. The benefits are administered by the state to support individuals who are temporarily out of work.

Computerization refers to the process of converting manual processes and tasks into digital formats using computers, enhancing efficiency and data management. Automation, on the other hand, involves using technology to perform tasks with minimal human intervention, often including computerization as a component but extending to various technologies, such as robotics or software systems. While computerization focuses on digitizing information and processes, automation emphasizes the execution of tasks automatically.
