it has changed the way we live today for example in WW2 the jet engine was developed and is now used in commercial air lines and the first computer was made to crack coded messages sent by the Germans in WW2 now we use computers to game to work to communicate... also the mobile phone was first developed in the military for communication in battle. That is all I know of but there are dozens more that are probably sitting next to you somewhere that have started in the military you just have to look.;)
