How long will an unopened ink cartridge last ie I can get a better deal on a 2 pack but can an unopened one last years and still be good?

Off the top of my head I am not aware of printer ink going bad like food. However I would still give the box a once over for any information related to the topic. If there is nothing printed as far as a "use by date" then go ahead and purchase it. If you plan to go more than a year and a half before initial use keep it in a dark cool place. If you go to use it and it does not work call the manufacturer and tell them you want a replacement. There was no use by date and you kept it in a dry cool place.
