9000/6 = 1500 seconds, or about 25 minutes (it would be more like half an hour, given the way speeds jump around).
I agree with Nij, but I believe most networks are listed as mega bits per second (Mbps), not megabytes (MBps). If this is true in your case, multiply the 1500 by 8, to get 3 hours and 20 minutes. This is assuming you download at maximum speed of 6Mbps, which I doubt. I'd expect a minimum of this time, and wouldn't be suprised if it takes much longer.
ftp connection software
At 56Kbps, a 7B file would take approximately 1.07 milliseconds to download.
If it's a large file or your connection is slow the download time will be longer.
about three hours if the connection is stable
Download times can vary due to factors such as the type of internet connection you have, the size of the file, and the load of the server hosting the file. The Adobe Shockwave plugin is approximately 4.5 MB. On a standard cable connection, this would take approximately one and a half seconds to download. On a dialup connection, it would take approximately twenty minutes to download.
About 32kBps, so 30 seconds for a one meg file.
can you please answer this question.. thank you
You need to have a stable Internet connection. Search for a legitimate place to download the file. Ensure that place is virus-free. Click on the download link to get the software.
It shouldn't.On further exploration this appears to be the result of a very slow & noisy connection (very old telephone wiring down our road) causing corruption in the file download. The files download correctly elsewhere.
Direct connection in file sharing would refer to what is more commonly knows as 'peer to peer' file sharing. This is when one individual uses a file sharing client that allows them to download directly from other (multiple) individuals and vice versa.
Some sites let you download files that have the extension .torrent (examplefile.torrent) Which is a compressed file on the internet that, for you to use, needs to be uncompressed. Open the file with uTorrent, and select where you want it to be extracted to. This can be a while, since uTorrent has to get the file, find seeders(People who allow other people to use the speed from there internet connection, and then download it. A one gigabyte file may take up to a day on a slow connection or if there are no seeders. Hope this helps!
A PSP uses very a very specific file download system and to do this you need to make sure it is a supported file. If you know that it is a supported file, make sure you have the most recent firmware (v5.02) then go to your Internet Browser and find the website that has your download and click the download link... Your PSP should ask you what to do with the download, Select save file and wait for the file to download... Once it is done, go to where you downloaded it on your home screen and open the file. If it says "Cannot open Currupted File" this means it is an unsupported file. (To get the new firmware update go to: Home >Settings >Network update.) You need a wireless internet connection to do this.
