To determine the volume of an 8' x 8' spa, you need to calculate its cubic feet and then convert that to gallons. Assuming the spa has an average depth of about 3 feet, the volume would be 8 x 8 x 3 = 192 cubic feet. Since there are approximately 7.48 gallons in a cubic foot, the spa would hold about 1,436 gallons of water.
The number of gallons of water a Cal Spa hot tub can hold varies. Each hot tub in this brand is a different size and therefore can hold different amounts of water.

30 x 13 x 5.9 (gallons per cubic foot for that particular shape) x 5 (average depth) = 11,500 US gallons, not including the spa since you gave no specifics on the spa.
300 to 800 gallons
Yes.
The amount of water required to fill an average sized portable outdoor spa is in the region of 265 gallons. This equates to approximately 1000 liters of water.

No spa water is not pure there are other things added to the water
To find the flow rate for a 3500-gallon spa with a 30-minute turnover rate, you divide the total volume by the turnover time in hours. Since 30 minutes is 0.5 hours, the calculation is 3500 gallons ÷ 0.5 hours, which equals a flow rate of 7000 gallons per hour. This means the spa needs to circulate 7000 gallons of water every hour to achieve a complete turnover in 30 minutes.
I wanted to know how many gallons of water was in my spa and pool. I used a very simple formula. I bought a 5 gallon bucket at Home Depot and set the hose nozzle to to see how long it would take to fill the bucket. I finally set it to fill the bucket to the rim in one minute. I placed the hose in the spa and set the timer to see how long it would take to fill the spa before it started to overflow into the pool. It took 100 minutes to fill the spa; one hour and twenty minutes; 500 gallons. It then took 2400 minutes to fill the pool; 40 hours; 12,000 gallons of water. I tried the LxWxD and came up with about 18,000 gallons. To double check my work, I tried it with a bucket. The LxWxD answer was wrong. Now I know how much chemicals to add every time I check the hp... Have a good day. Oh, I drained the pool to give it a nice acid wash and replace the lights. Have a good day....George Y
