2,697,435 people put the iPad on their Christmas list in 2011. I checked.
Apple claims to have sold 3,000,000 ipads in the first 80 days of sale. That number, however, is always going up.
Over 6 million as of January 2011

They now make an iPad 1 iPad 2, iPad 3 But you can not buy the iPad 1 from apple anymore. About 100 million have been sold as of September 2012.
There is no way to know. Some may have bought them online somewhere else. Some may have a WiFi only model and no account with a 3G service provider.
iPad tablets can be bought at Best Buy, Amazon, and many other fine electronics stores, and of course the Apple Store, where you can get the best information.
I do not know the exact number but in 1 and a half days the IPad 2 sold out across the country cause apple could not make them as fast as they were being bought.
As of January 2014, about half the people in the United States owned a tablet of some sort. The iPad accounts for less than half of that number, so I would say at least 75% of people do not own an iPad.
allot
About 93 people bought one.
Launch of the iPad 2011 model has had mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. Many reviews of the new technology agree that iPad 2 is the best tablet around. They also agree that it is thinner, faster, light, and overall better than the older models. Negative reviews were also present. Some agree that the changes made to the iPad 2011 model were not extreme, and persuaded customers not to upgrade just yet.
