Activating a bootleg version of Windows 7 Home Premium is illegal and typically involves purchasing a counterfeit product key, which can vary widely in price, often ranging from $10 to $50. However, using such a key can lead to security risks, lack of support, and potential legal consequences. It's always recommended to use genuine software to ensure proper functionality and security.

That edition of Windows Vista does not exist. Windows Vista exists in two editions for home users: Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium.
Windows 7 Home Premium
The only operating systems that run "SimCity Societies" include: Windows Vista Home Edition, Windows Vista Professional, Windows Vista Media Center Edition, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Home Edition, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 8 Home Edition, Windows 8 Home Premium, Windows 8 Professional, Windows & Ultimate, and last but not least the: Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
First, Microsoft does not have a "Home Basic" edition of Windows 7 (Home Basic was one of the Vista editions). The most basic edition of Windows 7 is called "Windows 7 Starter" and is only available (at least in the US) on certain small "netbook"-type computers, which may be a bit underpowered for the Home Premium edition. (Note that I'm not saying that any particular one is, just that it's possible.)That said, Windows 7 has a feature called "Windows Anytime Upgrade" that allows you to go from a "lower" edition of Windows 7 (such as Starter) to a "higher" edition (such as Home Premium). The cost is around $80 for the Starter to Home Premium upgrade directly from Microsoft; you may be able to get it for slightly less from retailers such as Amazon.com.If you actually have Windows Vista Home Basic, the upgrade price to Windows 7 Home Premium (again, directly from Microsoft) is about $120.
Home premium should be more user friendly but the other has more fatures.
This laptop comes installed with Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.
Because it is ultimately created by Microsoft. The Ultimate edition has all the features of both Home Premium and Professional.
Windows Vista Ultimate is a premium operating system produced by the Microsoft Corporation. The term "Ultimate" describes the product as the most premium version of Windows Vista, it includes all additional features. Another example of "Windows Vista Ultimate" : Windows Vista Home Basic
