Typical plattered hard drives can be found in capacities of a few Terabytes at most. We are running into space limitations because the current platter system cannot handle much more than this anymore.
...560 Gigabytes.
That depends on which one you get. Many of the newest ones have several terabytes of storage available.
you can have as much as you like. you would just have to get a bigger hard drive, memory stick, external hard drive or server etc.
"Memory" is what's called "volatile" storage. When the computer is turned off, all of the data is gone. The hard drive is what's often called "non-volatile" storage. A hard drive stores data in much the same way that a music tape stores your music. The hard drive storage can be deleted or changed and the "current" data will be available next time the computer is turned on.
3tb but its not possible to have that much memory :D you are thinking of hard drive storage
The current average price of replacing a hard drive is around 200 dollars. This can be done through major retailers or a private chain.
Before purchasing an external hard drive, consider what will be compatible with your computer. Most hard drives support USB 2.0 and FireWire. After considering compatibility, it's a good idea to buy a hard drive with as much storage space as you can afford.
This depends on how much money you are willing to spend on an external hard drive. Some external hard drives can have storage of 500 GB, or even up to 1 TB.
In 2011 the company Sea Gate made the first 4.0 TB hard drive but normally the hard drive is 750GB or 1.0 TB it depends how much you spend.
When you are getting ready to install the OS, either Windows 7 or Windows XP. It has an option to Format or Partition a hard drive. If you use the partition function you can decide how much you want to take out of the hard drive storage.
A computer's storage capacity is only limited by the size of the hard-drive the current version of Windows can utilise.
There is no fixed value. It depends on the drive.
