How often should you feed your pet rats?

Baby mice should be fed by their mothers until they are ready to start eating solid foods, which they do on their own terms. Until then, just make sure the mother has a ready supply of seeds and regularly has other foods available to eat - enough to cater for her and her baby, because she's got to make the milk.

Well, seeing as how I have some pet mice myself, I know you can get some mouse seed mixture at your local pet store. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, then take some bird seed and give them that. You can also give them some washed and cut fruit & veggies to balance their diet. Some dog treats make good chew toys, too! My mice love to chew on their dog treats. Hope this helps.

When i had a rat i kept a bowl that held about a cup of food in the cage. i refilled it whenever it got empty, but keep an eye on it, as mine always started shoveling it's bedding out through the cage bars if i forgot.
