Don't have too much data. Have proper and clear title for the chart and for each axis. Have a legend to indicate what each series is. Data labels can be used if they are not too cluttered. Some explanatory text with the chart will also help.
Gridlines — These can either be Horizontal or Vertical lines depending on the selected chart type. They extend across the plot area of the chart. Gridlines make it easier to read and understand the values.
would you add any steps to make it easier or to make it easier to understand
To make information easier to read and understand.
Numerical information of abstract concepts can be difficult to comprehend and analyze. (Sometimes is hard to understand the important parts of the numbers.) When the numerical information is represented as a graph or a chart, the numbers are visually grouped in a way that makes it easier for us to see how the numbers are related, and easier to see some important things about those numbers. In other words, graphs and charts make it easier for us to understand things that deal with numbers.
When graphs are used correctly, they do make relationships easier to understand. they provide a useful way to visualize relationships.

This is much easier to do in MS Powerpoint than in Excel. Powerpoint actually has an organizational chart as one of its templates.
