I can't download anything on Firefox?

Maybe your system's firewall is on so turn it off. Go to control panel then windows firewall.

Recent delepments in Windows (such as vista and 7) check first and ask permissions. A yellow banner appears at the top for you to allow it by clicking on it. Check this.

Security levels may be set too high. Check permissions in user account.

If your computer cannot download anything anymore than it can a number of issues. If you don't have a strong internet connection this can affect downloads. Hardware issues can also affect downloads.

it's probably a plugin,

same here my computer will say it is downloading but when it is done the download completely disapears and is gone please help!

If it is a work computer or you bought it used, your administrator may have disabled the installing of new programs. If it is really old, it might be too old to install newer programs.
