The weight in grams of the Thyroidectomized rat seemed to decrease when injected with propylthiouracil.
Injected with tyroxine caused an increase in grams and ml of O2 levels do to the fact that tyroxine (a hormone from tyroid gland) increase the basal metabolic rate. ATT; Veronica V.
Propylthiouracil is an additive that reversibly abolishes thyroid function and the thyroid controls how quickly the body burns energy.
Purely guessing here, I'd assume a slowdown in overall metabolic rate. You've excised the pituitary gland, and adminsitered a thryoid antagonist. Unless there's some weird sympathetic reaction, a slowdown seems emminent.

The metabolic rate does change with the development of an animal from a zygote to adult because of the development of the organs. As growth occurs the organs fully develop.
You have to get a special intake that you can bolt a carburetor to.
metabolic causes of coma consist of those conditions that change the chemical environment of the brain, thereby adversely affecting function.
You don't, it does not have a carburetor. They are fuel injected. Hope this helps!
watching the calorie count
it has an effect if you dont change the fuel injected
Most metabolic rates differ due to a number of reasons. Metabolism can change due to activity level, heredity age and food consumption.
