Yes. It doesn't matter what kind of hardware you have (in other words, it doesn't matter that it is an Acer specifically), but Windows 8, just like every other recent desktop operating system, supports multiple accounts. Just go to control panel (in desktop mode, go to settings from the sidebar that appears at the right side of the screen) and choose User Accounts. Click Manage Another Account and there will be an option to add a new account.
Right click desktop background, highlight new, left click folder. New folder icon shows on desktop, now just name it what you like, if you don't it will just say, new folder under the icon. BTW, if you have multiple user accounts set up for the computer, this process should be done by/in the Administrator account to be assessable by all users/accounts. Alternate: Log on as Administrator: Add the icon to C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Desktop.
C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\Desktop if you delete icons it will not influence other users. The only exception is if User_Name is All Users, this account defines common settings for all accounts.
I did it on a desktop it is in a corner
Add the shortcuts to programs while you are logged in to the account.
Just create a remote user account and change firewall settings to allow remote connection. To create a remote user account: Start->Control Panel->System->Remote->Select Remote Users... Add your account to remote users group. Your account must have a password, by default accounts with no password cannot use remote desktop, even if they have administrative features. for remote connection you also need to know a remote computer ip address or full name.
The Pixelmon modification is only available on desktop systems running Windows or Mac operating systems. The modification is not yet available for the Kindle Fire HD.
If it is just one extra account it is probably easiest to configure them individually by going to: Desktop Background in Windows explorer then selecting the image then "OK" or by right clicking the image and clicking "Set as Desktop Background".
