"C:\Program Files" for Windows XP, and I think* it's "C:\Users\*YOUR-USERNAME*\Program Files"

So for example if you install Adobe Photoshop on Windows XP, it'll be found here "C:\Program Files\Adobe".

And just like Photoshop, some other softwares or games that have company will be found in their compnay name's folder before them, for example: "C:\Program Files\id software\Quake 4\..." or "C:\Program Files\Valve\Left 4 Dead 2\..."

And there are executables anf 'dll' and 'ini' and weird folders inside.

Good luck.

How do you reinstall Minecraft?

Since Minecraft is not installed on the computer, you can simply just delete the Minecraft.exe file and the .minecraft folder. The Minecraft.exe file is most likely in your list of downloads unless you moved it. The .minecraft folder can be found by typing in "Run" in the search bar on the start menu and then writing "%appdata". Then you'll get some folders, one named .minecraft. But you might want to do a backup of your saved games before deleting Minecraft from your computer. The save files can be found in the .minecraft folder. Just copy them somewhere and paste them there again once you have reinstalled Minecraft.

What does An eligible Pages application was not found in the location Applications mean?

If you're trying to do a software update on Pages, it means you've moved the application from where it was originally. When you got the software, it was automatically downloaded into a folder in Applications called "iWork 'xx" (where "xx" is the year of the software. I'll just use '08 for simplicity. So basically, go to Applications, create a folder named "iWork '08", and put Pages in there.
